This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.\nWhat a Print Operations Inkjet Product Engineerdoes in HP:\nCoordinate and lead internal & outsourced development activities with manufacturing partners and suppliers in support of the worldwide manufacture of Inkjet products from NPI through end of lifecycle.\nWorks independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment, and resolving various issues by following company policies and procedures.\nDevelops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.\nDesigns portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for low to moderately- complex products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness.\nParticipates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners and works towards ensuring products and solutions developed are reliable, and high quality.\nDevelops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.\nConducts inspection of performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency; identifies corrective action of problems and deficiencies.\nOptimizes concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, to further increase efficiency and quality.\nDelivers designs and other program deliverables on time and within budget.\nSupport Assurance of Supply part qualification activities to avoid or mitigate product shipment risks due to part availability issues.\nInfluence R&D and GBU in the development of new products, services, and solutions for HP Inkjet portfolio.\nDevelops new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products.\nLead initiatives to proactively identify customer impacting quality issues for Inkjet products in the field & factory and drive development of mitigation plans.\nOptimize and take cost out through Automation, Design influence, Manufacturing Overheads /Line Tooling/Test optimization, and Warranty reduction.\nDrive Future Ready Transformation initiatives to support HP evolution to an Agile, Resilient & Sustainable Supply Chain.\nCollaborate and communicate with Management, internal and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.\nI ndividuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.\nTypically 2-4 years’ experience.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nBasic understanding of material properties, hardware, and electrical component design.\nExperience in 3D CAD software, statistical analysis & data visualization.\nProficiency in programming will be an added advantage.\nStrong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.\nPreferred Certifications\nProduct Certification\nSix Sigma Certification Knowledge & Skills\nAgile Methodology\nAutomation Cross-Org Skills\nEffective Communication\nResults Orientation\nLearning Agility\nDigital Fluency\nCustomer Centricity Impact & Scope\nImpacts immediate team and acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.
