The role conducts testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure that software applications are free of defects and meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities\nDesigns enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet- based platforms.\nAnalyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.\nInvestigates and resolves technical issues reported by users or identified during testing and usage.\nWrites and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance teams, to implement new features and functionalities in software applications.\nAllocates resources to complete programming projects, and designing detailed plans to ensure applications are functioning properly.\nLeads a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.\nCollaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.\nRepresents the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.\nKeeps up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to stay current and improve skills. Education & Experience Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nTypically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering, programming, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
