The engineer will be responsible for low-level firmware development, wireless driver integration, debugging complex RF issues, and ensuring robust, reliable performance in real-world network conditions.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implement, and optimize embedded firmware for Wi-Fi chipsets and connectivity subsystems.\nDevelop, integrate, and maintain 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) drivers, supplicant logic, and platform interfaces.\nWork closely with silicon vendors (e.g., Realtek, Qualcomm, Broadcom) to integrate and customize wireless stacks.\nContributes to the complete product development cycle in order to meet defined deliverables.\nKeeps up with changes in software development tools and techniques used in the product development lifecycle.\nAnalyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.\nExecutes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.\nCollaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding firmware design status, project progress, and issue resolution.\nActively participates in the design process, presenting new designs and the data to back them up, as well as soliciting feedback from internal and external partners.\nDevelops and maintains firmware architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability.\nParticipates as a member of project team of other firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.\nStrong experience in embedded C/C++, RTOS concepts\nDeep understanding of Wi-Fi protocols (MAC/PHY), radio operations, scanning, association/authentication, DHCP, multicast, security (WPA/WPA2/WPA3).\nHands-on experience with 802.11 driver development, wireless chipset SDKs, or Linux wireless subsystems.\nProficiency in debugging tools: logic analyzers, packet sniffers (Wireshark), UART/JTAG, RF test equipment.\nFamiliarity with network diagnostics (SNR, RSSI, RX/TX stats, BSSID hopping, channel interference)\nAI driven SDLC is a must\nEducation & Experience Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nTypically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in firmware development, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
