The role works at the intersection of software development, system architecture, and project management to ensure the successful development and deployment of software solutions that address a wide range of challenges and requirements. The roleoptimizessoftware systems for enhanced performance, scalability, and resource efficiency to deliveran optimalend-user experience.\nResponsibilities\nInstalls, configures, and tests and managesGithubEnterprise Cloud/Server environments, with a high degree ofexpertiseand independence.\n\nMonitorsand tests application performance for potential bottlenecks,identifiespossible solutions, andworksto implement those fixes.\n\nWrites and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assignedportionof application;identifiesanddebugs, andcreatessolutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.\n\nCreates andmaintainsdetailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals.\n\nLeads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective andhigh qualitysolutions for assigned systemsportionorsubsystem.\n\nCollaborates and communicates with management, internal, and partnersregardingsoftware systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.\n\nRepresentsthe software systems engineering team for all phases of larger andmore-complexdevelopment projects.\n\nProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.\n\nSupport SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and other compliance tasks,includingaccessreviews, evidence collection for controls.\n\nEducation & Experience Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline orcommensuratework experience ordemonstratedcompetence.\n\nTypically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.\n\n Preferred Certifications\nCertified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)\n\nCertified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)\n\n Knowledge & Skills\nAgile Methodology\n\nAmazon Web Services(IAM, networking, compute, etc)\n\nApplication Programming Interface (API)\n\nAutomation\n\nGitHub Enterprise(Cloud or Server)\n\nGit org/repo management,permissionsand enterprise features\n\nGitHub Actions\n\nTerraform (or equivalent IaC tools)\n\nComputer Science\n\nDebugging\n\nDocker (Software)\n\nGo(Programming Language)\n\nKubernetes\n\nLinux\n\nMicroservices\n\nMicrosoft Azure\n\nPython (Programming Language)\n\nScalability\n\nSoftware DevelopmentLifecycle\n\nSoftware Engineering\n\nSQL (Programming Language)\n\nSOX/SOC compliance frameworks\n\nThe pay range for this role is$105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
