Other than ink formulation and print performance fundamentals, this role would also require program management, supplier management and collaboration cross-site and cross-functional.\nThis role combines expertise in ink formulation with responsibilities in process scale-up, product qualification, supplier collaboration, and change management. The chemist ensures inks meet requirements for performance, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, cost, and supply continuity, while driving project execution, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.\nWe are looking for a candidate who is passionate about science and technology and excited to learn and displays a growth mindset.\nKey responsibilities\nInk Formulation and Reformulation\nLead reformulation efforts in response to raw material, supplier, or regulatory changes.\nDevelop and optimize formulations for to meet performance, quality, manufacturability, cost, regulatory, and supply requirements.\nApply deep understanding of material properties and interactions with manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure print performance\nNew Production Introduction and Qualification\nPartner with research and development teams to develop and introduce new inks and raw materials\nSupport product development from laboratory scale through pilot and full manufacturing\nEnsure readiness for production, including robustness, reproducibility, and process capability\nSupport product data management and assess supply risks during product introduction\nManufacturing and Scale-up\nSupport scale-up from development to high-volume manufacturing\nOptimize formulations and processes for yield, efficiency, and consistency\nTroubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues in partnership with production teams\nChange Management and Risk Mitigation\nImplement product and raw material changes driven by performance, regulatory, cost, or supply considerations\nConduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations\nLead technical response to supply disruptions and product quality issues\nSupplier Engagement\nManage supplier technical relationships to ensure quality, consistency and assurance of supply for inks and raw materials.\nPartner with suppliers on co-development and manufacturing readiness.\nPartner with suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve process and quality issues.\nOwn technical responses to supply chain related issues.\nPerform supplier audits.\nCompliance and governance\nConduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.\nSupport and conducts audits according to quality standards.\nProgram Management and Cross-Functional Leadership\nCollaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to develop and launch new inks and raw materials.\nSupport ink development activities from lab through pilot and manufacturing.\nEnable scale-up from development to high-volume manufacturing.\nManage, lead, drive projects (communicate, issue resolution, mitigation plans, etc) and collaborate with cross functional teams to implement ink and raw material changes.\nCommunication and Collaboration\nEffectively collaborate with diverse teams (technical, business, supply chain, operations).\nGood stakeholder holder engagement and have the ability to inform of project status, issues, and/or escalations.\nMinimum qualifications\nPhD or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline.\n4+ years of experience in an industrial or research environment.\nIndividuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:\nPolymer chemistry, Interfacial and surface chemistry, Organic and inorganic nanoparticle suspensions, fluid chemistry, analytical and characterization techniques and data interpretation.\nExperience in supporting new product introductions, manufacturing or change qualifications.\nExperience in ink manufacturing, specification and quality management.\nStrong understanding of fundamental chemical principles and mechanisms.\nDemonstrated analytical and empirical problem-solving skills, driven by data.\nSystem thinking, growth mindset, good flexibility and able to adapt to dynamic environments.\nProgram management skills.\nAbility to collaborate and partner worldwide teams across various functions.\nHP is a Human Capital Partner - we commit to human capital development and adopting progressive workplace practices in Singapore.\nJob -\nEngineeringSchedule -\nFull timeShift -\nNo shift premium (Singapore)Travel -\n25%Relocation -\nNoEqual Opportunity Employer (EEO)-\nHP, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).\nPlease be assured that you will not be subject to any adverse treatment if you choose to disclose the information requested.
