The engineer serves as the voice of the customer by defining print quality requirements, identifying and resolving system-level issues, and driving cross-functional solutions that optimize image quality, reliability, and overall product performance.\nThe role requires collaboration across diverse engineering disciplines, including printhead development, ink technology, mechanical design, reliability engineering, manufacturing, and product development partners worldwide. Writing Systems Engineers use experimentation, data analysis, and structured problem solving to characterize system behavior, diagnose print defects, and guide product decisions from concept through launch.\nResponsibilities\nIdentify, characterize, and resolve defects throughout product development.\nTake ownership of printhead-related issues and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.\nDesign and execute experiments to verify product performance against objectives.\nAnalyze data, determine root causes, and lead structured problem-solving efforts.\nProvide technical recommendations, driven by data\nDefine print quality requirements and act as the primary customer advocate for image quality.\nSupport manufacturing qualification and collaboration across worldwide development sites\nKnowledge & Skills\nSystems thinking and cross-functional leadership.\nCuriosity to understand fundamental functions of a given system\nStrong data analysis and experimental design skills.\nStatistical problem solving.\nPrint quality evaluation and defect characterization.\nTechnical communication and stakeholder management.\nAbility to lead issue resolution using structured methodologies\nThe pay range for this role is $93,400 to $143,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
