Our innovation springs from a team of individuals, each collaborating and contributing their own perspectives, knowledge, and experience to advance the way the world works and lives.\nThe HP Barcelona site hosts the HP Multi Jet Fusion and MetalJet 3D printing businesses, having the responsibility for the Research and Development (R&D), Product Management and Operations.\nWe are opening an internship position to join our Writing Systems Team in our 3D Printing R&D organization.\nThe Writing Systems team integrates different technologies involved in the 3D printing process to ensure consistent Part Quality (PQ) and system performance. As an intern, you will learn how different engineering disciplines and subsystems interact at system level, contribute to real engineering challenges, and collaborate with different R&D teams.\nJoin us and be part of a team that is redefining how technology transforms work.\nKey responsibilities:\nSupport the development and optimization of print modes for different materials, agents and 3D printing applications. \nSupport the planning and execution of experiments to understand process behavior and its impact on Part Quality. \nAnalyze experimental data and printer performance to identify trends, characterize issues and support technical decisions. \nContribute to data analysis, automation and process control improvements to increase efficiency, repeatability and process robustness. \nParticipate in troubleshooting and root-cause investigations of print-quality and system-level issues. \nWork closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, including Materials, Mechanical, Thermal, Firmware and Quality. \nSupport the testing and validation of new materials, functionalities and printing solutions.\nDocument and share experimental results, conclusions and learnings with the team.\n\nRequirements:\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.\nTechnical Skills:\nGood engineering fundamentals and a structured approach to problem solving. \nKnowledge of data analysis and statistics, including hypothesis testing, correlation, regression and basic modelling. \n Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and interest in applying it to hands-on experimental work. \nUnderstanding of physical systems and how materials, thermal conditions, mechanics and process parameters interact. \nProgramming and data analysis skills, with experience using Python and Excel for data processing, statistical analysis, visualization and automation.
