This pivotal role supports concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, EPCM, and EPC projects, with a primary focus on the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems for both local and international assignments.\nRole Overview\n\nThe successful candidate will be technically proficient in power systems engineering and adept at working within multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM project teams. They will provide comprehensive support throughout all project phases—from engineering studies and design to procurement, site installation, and commissioning.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform detailed electrical power systems design and analysis.\nConduct comprehensive power system studies, including:\n\nLoad flow\nShort circuit\nMotor starting\nNetwork stability\nPower factor correction\nHarmonics\n\nCarry out protection studies, design, and implementation.\nProvide technical input for studies, proposals, and project documentation.\nCollaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and drafting teams.\nReview design information from vendors, contractors, and consultants.\nOffer engineering support to site teams during installation and commissioning.\nAssist in managing procurement packages to ensure timely delivery and compliance.\nParticipate in site installation, testing, and commissioning activities.\nManage red-line drawings, documentation, and project handover processes efficiently.\nSupport project implementation both locally and internationally, ensuring adherence to standards and quality.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nDegree or BTech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience within the power systems industry.\nAt least 5 years’ experience in protection studies and implementation.\nStrong expertise in load flow and short circuit studies.\nProven experience with large motor start-up studies and network stability analysis.\nSound knowledge of power factor correction and harmonics.\nExperience in energy management systems.\nSecondary injection testing experience.\nHands-on experience with site installation and commissioning activities.\nGeneral understanding of generator systems.\nProficiency in ETAP and/or DIgSILENT software.\nExperience with protection relays and general PLC programming knowledge.\nIn-depth understanding of high and medium voltage power systems.\nRegistration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist is
