Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams, this role assists in planning and executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining test records, and supporting the development of technical drawings and documentation.\nThis position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to continuous improvement, product innovation, and process development efforts.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSupport engineering, product development, and research activities through hands-on laboratory testing, experimental setup, data collection, and documentation.\nPrepare and conduct tests related to product performance, material evaluation, thermal analysis, lifecycle testing, and other engineering validation activities.\nCollect, organize, and document test results, providing accurate records and reports of findings.\nPrepare metallurgical and material samples for evaluation and analysis when required.\nMaintain laboratory equipment, testing tools, and work areas, including inventory management and ordering supplies.\nCreate and revise technical drawings, models, and related documentation using CAD software.\nEnter and maintain product and engineering-related information within business systems.\nResearch and source testing equipment, materials, and external services needed to support engineering projects.\nProcess purchasing requests and coordinate procurement activities as needed.\nGenerate technical reports and presentations summarizing project results and recommendations.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.\nPerform additional duties and technical assignments as required.\nKey Accountabilities\nDemonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving.\nSupport engineering projects through accurate testing, reporting, and documentation.\nStay informed on emerging manufacturing technologies, testing methods, and industry best practices.\nMaintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.\nFollow established quality, safety, and operational procedures.\nContribute positively to team objectives and project milestones.\nQualifications, Skills & Experience\nMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience.\nAbility to work independently.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nMust be functional in Excel and PowerPoint.\nProficiency in SolidWorks and Draft sight a plus.\nFunctional in LabVIEW and Arduino programming a plus.\nAbility to collect data and infer conclusions.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret Engr. Drawings and specifications.\nAbility to perform intermediate to high level electrical and thermal testing and write reports.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates at all levels.\nDegree in Mechanical, Applied Engr., or Manufacturing disciplines.\nCollege accreditation/certificate or professional certification.\nLean Mfg. or Six Sigma certifications.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe employee may be required to:\nFrequently use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and testing devices.\nOccasionally stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.\nRegularly communicate with team members and stakeholders.\nFrequently view detailed information on computer screens, instruments, and technical documents.\nFrequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.\nMaintain hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary for testing and assembly activities.\nWork Environment\nThe work environment may include laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, and production settings.
