In practice, this means we are positive and inclusive about making adjustments, providing flexible working, encouraging our staff networks to flourish and providing personal and professional development opportunities.\nAs a Property Management Surveyor at HS2 you will have a key role in the effective and efficient management of property acquired by HS2 Ltd\nAbout the role:\nActively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.\nResponsible for management of HS2’s residential and commercial property portfolio\nActing as a key contact with HS2’s appointed property managing agents to ensure high quality estate management including monitoring through monthly reports and KPI’s their performance on lettings, rent collection, maintenance, repair and disposals \nLiaison with the HS2 Ltd Property Acquisition team to develop full awareness of the Railway delivery programme to ensure timely issue of instructions to managing agents to undertake pre-completion inspections for new Acquisitions and the handover of properties into management on legal completion\nMonitoring the day to day management of properties by the appointed agents including evaluation and instruction of repair and maintenance works and subsequent monitoring and budgeting of fees and expenses\nEnsuring all properties in the HS2 property portfolio comply with Health and Safety regulations and legislation and that the Company’s Health and Safety policies and processes are fully implemented\nSupport senior members of the team on property management matters and deputising for the Senior Property Management Surveyor as required\nActively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.\nAdhere to HS2 Ltd’s Health and Safety policies.\nAbout You:\nSkills:\nAbility to compile and analyse data, and present and produce reports to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders\nData compilation, integration, analysis and presentation\nManage competing priorities\nAbility to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to influence performance and outcomes.\nKnowledge:\nKnowledge of lettings, rent collection, maintenance, repair and disposals processes and technical aspects of general practice surveying\nUnderstanding of legal obligations in relation to property ownership, occupation and management.\nUnderstanding of property income and expenditure budgeting, forecasting and accounting\nA Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.\nDegree qualified or relevant property experience.\nType of experience:\nExperience in operating in a property management environment.. \nExperience of managing and monitoring performance of property consultants, agents, contractors and suppliers\nExperience of managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives\nThe post-holder is expected to behave at all times in a manner consistent with the HS2 values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect.
