We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realize their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director, Data and Analytics\nIn this role, you will be:\nBuild and maintain data models and curated datasets/“data assets” to support Business Intelligence(BI), reporting, insight and predictive analytics.\nSupport data quality (DQ) automation, governance, controls and alignment to enterprise data model (EDM) standards.\nPartner with data engineering/technology teams to enable robust, efficient pipelines and scalable solutions (advantageous where hands-on).\nConvert business problems into well-defined analytical problem statements and solution approaches.\nConduct high-quality analysis on large, complex datasets; produce clear, actionable insights and recommendations.\nDesign, develop and implement scalable analytics solutions (e.g., portfolio performance, customer behaviour, risk metrics, operational insights).\nAct as an subject matter expert (SME)/consultant in a functional area, shaping solutions across multiple stakeholders, portfolios, or regions.\nIdentify and initiate opportunities for self-driven projects that deliver measurable business benefit.\nProduce high-quality presentations and storytelling for senior stakeholders; communicate complex concepts clearly to mixed audiences.\nManage delivery to agreed timelines, scope and quality standards; track outcomes and benefits.\nTo be successful you will be:\n8+ years of hands-on data analysis experience solving complex business problems using data with any graduation or post-graduation.\nStrong programming skills and sound knowledge of Python, SQL or other equivalent analytical tools is required. \nHands-on data modelling experience.Strong understanding of Big Data concepts and processing patterns.\nAdvanced MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation development capability within short notice is required with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence(AI) tools is required\nAbility to transform a business problem to a data problem is required\nKnowledge and experience in SAS and QlikSense would be added advantage and advanced knowledge of MS Excel including macro based excel sheets (VBA) are also an added advantage\nYou’ll achieve more when you join HSBC\nwww.hsbc.com/careers\nHSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
