We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Analytics.\nPrincipal responsibilities\nAnalyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data to generate insights and recommendations across risk and operations (Fraud, Collections, Underwriting, KYC).\nApply advanced statistical techniques, predictive modelling and AI/ML methods to develop practical, scalable solutions.\nProactively identify emerging business issues and priorities, and translate them into analytics use cases with clear methodology and measurable outcomes.\nManage end-to-end delivery of analytics initiatives, including solution design, validation, performance tracking and impact assessment.\nDeliver high-quality outputs on time in a fast-changing environment, balancing rigour with pace.\nCollaborate with business, operations and technology teams to implement analytics/AI solutions and define performance measurement frameworks.\nShare knowledge and best practices, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture.\nRequirements\nUniversity degree (or above) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data/Information Management, or a related discipline.\nAt least 6 years’ experience in retail banking analytics, including modelling and AI/ML.\nStrong track record of extracting insights from large datasets and applying machine learning/AI techniques effectively.\nHands-on experience with Python, SQL/BigQuery, and visualisation tools (Tableau or QlikSense); experience working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.\nExperience in risk-related domains (e.g., Fraud, Collections, Underwriting, KYC) is an advantage.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to varied audiences and influence decisions.\nProven ability to work effectively across business, operations and technology stakeholders.\nHigh ownership mindset and strong service orientation, focused on improving customer communication and service delivery.\nCandidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.\nDue to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.\nYou’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.\nHSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
