We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are seeking a Data Analyst\nThe Financial Crime (FC) Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) role is to manage data products, processes and applications on the Compliance/FC Data Lakes and Cloud Environments and define the strategy for their future evolution. This encompasses the end-to-end design, modelling and delivery of enhanced datasets to optimise the performance of our crime detection models and yield the greatest possible insight for all users, including FC Analyst, Investigator, Data Scientist and MI communities, many of whom we collaborate with closely. The team is also responsible for regulating the data environment, including platform architecture, management and configuration, security and data quality.\nIn this role, you will:\nUses a range of data tools (including SQL and python on Hadoop and GCP environments) to perform analysis/analytics tasks on a broad range of dataset to yield insight which informs design of business and technical processes and data assets. \nDemonstrates traceability of functional and non-functional requirements and solution design.\nCreate analysis of data-driven product functionality.\nProvides insight as to how a Data Analyst should learn and progress throughout the organisation.\nDrives adoption of the practice across the Data Analyst community.\nWorks with stakeholders, engineers and senior team members to define the problem statements, questions and requirements that the role holder and team will deliver\nManages and evaluates the change impact assessments of proposed requirements.\nUnderstands and challenges the implications of change such as dependencies, feasibility, scope, outputs, and process.\nManages and provides domain expertise to support design development activities; e.g. reviewing technical documentation and working with data and technical specialists from stakeholder teams to design their capabilities (including models and business processes)\nManages and helps prepare for Design Authorities and other forums and works with the development team to ensure challenges raised are addressed.\nManages, tracks and reports delivery progress against requirements.\nWorks with the Product Owner to manage, define and track performance measures. Supports and guides the Product Owner to create/evolve Product roadmap, creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog.\nHelping define and track metrics and Key Performance Indicators for the product.\nDrive the Agile Team performance and outcome metrics as required, building and using their expertise in Agile.\nTo be successful in this role you should have the following skills:\nKnowledge and experience analysing large and complex datasets to yield actionable technical and business insight\nExperience with Hadoop and/or Cloud Technologies (ideally GCP) and a willingness to build knowledge in these areas quickly\nFluency in SQL for data analysis/analytics with experience designing more advanced queries\nExpertise in python or other scripting languages desirable. Learning and using python (or alternative languages in future) for data analysis/analytics purposes is a requirement of the role\nWorking knowledge and familiarity with financial services organisations and typical customer products\nFamiliarity with data security, privacy and access considerations when dealing with sensitive data from multiple jurisdictions\nPrevious experience working in a financial (or wider) crime domain desirable\nAbility to understand complex and unfamiliar problems within the role domain with a broad range of business and technical constraints and dependencies, designing data driven solutions to address them\nBroad understanding of portfolio of design projects.\nBroad understanding of technical tools may be required dependent on the scope of the Agile Team.\nProvides extended expertise in process and is considered an authority on data and how to use it to further the Value Stream business objectives.\nBroad understanding of risk exposure to the bank and helping senior colleagues manage it.\nAssures delivery through the entire life cycle of the project of user requirements through to live.\nDrives measurable continuous improvement into all delivery environments across all disciplines.\nEnsuring team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.\nGood time-management skills.\nAbility to influence team senior leadership and business stakeholders, gaining their backing for design or project decisions.\nBeing open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
