We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager.\nThe Financial Operations Manager is a key leadership role within HSBC’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) Chief Operating Office (COO) team, with end-to-end accountability for financial management and commercial insight across the Enterprise Infrastructure area. The role reports to the Head of Financial Management for CTO and oversees an annual cost base of more than $1 billion USD across approximately 18 countries and provides strategic financial advice to senior technology and finance leaders. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.\nIn this role you will:\nLead all financial management activities for Enterprise Infrastructure - across both expenses and internal customer charges:\nAdvise managing directors / directors on financial decisions, risks and trade-offs\nDrive delivery of cost targets and optimisation commitments\nEstablish and oversee financial governance, controls and accountability, including management of the Fixed Asset Register, WIP and amortisation of assets\nInfluence cost ownership across countries and business areas\nCollaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders - Managing Director and Executive Committee, COO, CTO CFO, Local Financial Controllers / Operations, Cost Management and Procurement amongst others\nTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:\nQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)\nFinance business partnering (or similar) experience in a complex, matrixed, multi-currency organisation\nUnderstanding of accounting policies, audit requirements and governance\nExperience managing financials across multiple countries - including robust accrual, allocation and chargeback processes\nComfortable working independently and proactively to solve problems\nOpening up a world of opportunity.\nBeing open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
