At HSBC, we also see this as an opportunity to develop early-career talent for future roles.\nKey responsibilities\nDuring the placement, the trainee will provide day-to-day support to the Digital Sales & Engagement team, with appropriate supervision. Responsibilities will include:\nDigital sales and campaign support\nSupport the planning, coordination and execution of digital sales and customer-engagement activities.\nAssist with managing campaign timelines, activity trackers, content requirements and follow-up actions.\nSupport the preparation of digital sales materials, customer communications, presentations and briefing documents.\nCoordinate with internal teams to ensure campaign and sales activities are delivered accurately and on time.\nMonitor campaign activity, customer responses, leads and outstanding actions.\nIdentify risks, blockers, delays or delivery issues early and escalate them appropriately.\nMaintain accurate records of activities, decisions and follow-up actions.\nCustomer and stakeholder engagement\nSupport responses to routine enquiries from customers, relationship managers, sales teams and internal stakeholders.\nCoordinate information requests across Digital, Marketing, Sales, Wealth, Retail Banking, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams.\nPrepare clear updates on campaign progress, customer engagement, sales opportunities and outstanding requirements.\nHelp track customer or stakeholder queries through to resolution.\nSupport the preparation of customer-engagement materials, meeting notes, action logs and communications.\nContribute to initiatives designed to improve customer engagement and digital experiences.\nDigital performance reporting and analysis\nMaintain accurate trackers, campaign records, activity calendars and performance dashboards.\nProduce weekly or monthly reports covering digital activity, customer engagement, leads, conversion indicators, campaign performance and outstanding actions.\nSupport basic data analysis to identify trends, customer responses and opportunities for improvement.\nHighlight overdue actions, upcoming deadlines and potential delivery risks.\nHelp translate digital sales and engagement activity into concise updates for management review.\nSupport data-quality checks and ensure reports are based on accurate and appropriately handled information.\nProcess, governance and controls support\nSupport the maintenance of process documentation, procedures, campaign records and operational materials.\nAssist with control checks, approval tracking and content or activity reviews, where applicable.\nMaintain organised records and audit trails for campaign activities, customer communications and stakeholder approvals.\nFollow applicable risk, compliance, data-handling, marketing and information-security requirements.\nEscalate questions, control concerns, customer-impacting issues or exceptions to the appropriate team or manager.\nSupport the consistent application of governance standards across digital sales and engagement activities.\nContinuous improvement and team support\nIdentify opportunities to improve digital sales processes, campaign reporting, customer communications and stakeholder coordination.\nSupport the documentation of lessons learned, recurring issues and improvement opportunities.\nParticipate in team meetings, training sessions and digital improvement initiatives.\nWork collaboratively with colleagues across functions, businesses and locations.\nDemonstrate accountability, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality customer engagement.\nSupport a customer-focused approach to digital sales and service delivery.\nRequirements\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline;
