Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.\nJob Introduction\nAs an Individual Contributor own the implementation and ongoing management of credit policies, controls, regulatory requirements and governance processes for the business. The role converts regulatory and risk requirements into practical operating processes, management information, system changes and disciplined follow-up, while serving as a central coordinator across Business, Credit Risk, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Internal Audit and external regulators/auditors.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\n1. Regulatory reporting and schemes\nCoordinate SMA inputs for CRILC/CIC reporting, challenge classifications and finalise submissions.\nManage RBI Tranche I/II/III credit-control submissions, including data, validation, governance and evidence.\nAdminister ADB, GuarantCo, Agri and other credit support schemes, ensuring eligibility, documentation and reporting.\nCoordinate related-party exposure management and SOX declarations.\n2. Credit policy implementation\nCoordinate input, rollout and annual updates for credit policies covering evaluation, MSME/priority-sector lending, ECLGS, securities-backed lending and project finance.\nConvert regulatory and group changes into procedures, controls, communications, training, system requirements and implementation plans.\nServe as the business contact for policy interpretation and implementation.\n3. Credit controls and portfolio discipline\nStrengthen monitoring controls, ownership, evidence, escalation and closure.\nTrack covenants, conditions,, early warnings and information requests.\nEnsure compliance with LDS, LEI, Large Exposures, market-suitability, Excess Reporting, unhedged FX and capital-market exposure requirements.\nLead read-across reviews, Management Self-Identified Issues & actions and remediation of policy, control or regulatory findings.\n4. Audit and issue management\nLead credit-file preparation and submission for RBI, statutory, HKMA, GIA and concurrent audits.\nValidate information from Credit Systems, Business Credit Officers, relationship managers and other sources; coordinate audit and regulatory responses.\nDrive audit actions and remediation to sustainable closure, with accurate reporting and evidence.\n5. Pricing, capital and governance\nSupport the India Deal Prioritisation Committee and RWA optimisation.\nMaintain monthly credit-interest spread delineation and support the Interest Rates on Advances Policy.\nCoordinate pricing-system and process changes and maintain governance records.\n6. Business management and resilience\nCoordinate Credit stress tests and Quarterly Lending Survey, including sector credit forecasts.\nManage third-party and group-entity risk for credit processes, including TPEM/outsourcing governance.\nResponsible to ensure changes in systems to meet the regulatory and business growth requirements are delivered on time.\nOversee vendor and bill-payment administration for credit support services.\nSupport Watch, Worry and Monitor and MSME exposure governance forums.\nRole Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:\nGraduate with a minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in credit analysis, credit regulations, policies and controls.\nStrong knowledge of credit policy implementation, control frameworks and regulatory reporting requirements.\nAbility to articulate required actions clearly, manage senior stakeholders and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.\nResilience, sound judgement and the ability to remain effective in a demanding and evolving environment are essential.\nPro-Tip: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.\nAs an employee, you are required to perform your duties in a professional capacity exercising independent judgement, discretion and decision-making authority in planning, organising, directing work, supervising and appraising the work of team members, as applicable; and taking accountability for delivery outcomes.
