We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Intern.\nPrincipal responsibilities\nConduct company, industry and market research, and synthesise findings into clear insights and implications for clients.\nPrepare client materials, including pitch books, teasers, information memoranda, management presentations and internal committee papers.\nAssist with valuation work, scenario analysis and return/impact assessments to support recommendations.\nSupport the origination and execution of Investment Banking assignments.\nCoordinate with product and coverage partners, including ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Risk, Legal and Compliance.\nMaintain high standards of accuracy, version control and confidentiality across all deliverables.\nSupport team operations, including meeting scheduling, status updates and maintaining deal and pipeline trackers.\nWork effectively with analysts, associates and global Investment Banking professionals to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.\nRequirements\nCurrently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce client-ready materials.\nClear written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to explain analysis and conclusions clearly and concisely.\nHigh attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset.\nProactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.\nTeam-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nProfessional judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.\nWillingness to complete a minimum six-month internship.\nAbility to work on-site at least four days per week, preferably five.\nCandidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Carrer Band than stated above.\nDue to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.\nYou’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.\nHSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
