We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director Specialist Engineering\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective.\nActively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings.\nDrives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering\nDelivery and support of data related infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications\nDesign and develop applications for internal and external users focussing on the interface and front-end usability of the application.\nEngineer and implement security measures for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products and services.\nEstablish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data\nAssist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.\nPromote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.\nManaging stakeholder communications and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.\nTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:\nKnowledge of Java and Cloud Technologies and related products \nExperience in Java, SpringBoot, Kubernetes & Docker, MongoDB, SQL, Micro Service Design, Kafka, GCP\nExperience on design and implement DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline.\nExperience supporting middleware / database design, build and troubleshooting in development and production environments.\nExperience of working with monitoring and alerting tools such as but not limited to AppDynamics, Splunk, Geneos and IBM Tivoli Monitoring.\nExperience in agile and DevOps environment using team collaboration tools such as Jenkins, Github, Confluence and JIRA.\nWorking with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.\nProvide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team,\nEnsure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.\nKeep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable\nTechnical leadership of large team of developers and help development of team capabilities. Work with senior business stakeholders\nHaving knowledge of GRC domain will be an advantage e.g. designed system which does Risks and Control assessments.
