This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design and product, turning business requirements and user stories into scalable UI solutions that work across devices and browsers. You’ll set direction for reusable components, design systems and accessibility standards to create consistent user experiences. You’ll also bring AI-assisted development into everyday engineering, strengthening productivity, quality, testing and documentation while following responsible AI, security, privacy and accessibility principles. Success means high-performing user interfaces that are maintainable at scale, integrated cleanly with APIs and third-party services and delivered predictably through strong planning and risk management.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesign and develop complex responsive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks\nPartner with UX designers, product managers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences\nArchitect reusable UI components to improve consistency, scalability and long-term maintainability\nEmbed UI/UX best practices including accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA and performance optimisation\nGuide junior developers through mentoring, code reviews and knowledge sharing to strengthen engineering quality\nTranslate business requirements and user stories into technical specifications and robust UI solutions\nApply AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing and documentation across the delivery lifecycle\nEvaluate and integrate AI-powered capabilities into user interfaces while following responsible AI, security, privacy and accessibility principles\nWhat we're looking for\nBring substantial hands-on experience building enterprise UI solutions with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3 (SASS or LESS)\nDemonstrate strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems and accessible design using WCAG and ARIA\nApply state management approaches such as Redux or Context API in complex applications\nUse automated testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library to improve quality and release confidence\nIntegrate user interfaces with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and third-party services using modern build tooling such as Webpack and Babel\nOperate effectively with version control and delivery pipelines using Git and CI/CD practices\nApply AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering techniques within the software development lifecycle\nWork effectively in Agile or Scrum environments while contributing to planning, estimation and risk management\nBuilding scalable AI-enabled UI\nIf you want your work to shape user experiences at scale this role offers the scope to make a visible impact.
