You’ll use extensive automation experience to optimise test activities and strengthen how testing is embedded across the development lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across the POD and cross-POD teams you’ll manage dependencies and provide a clear point of accountability for testing. The work spans both development and support phases and covers a wide range of test types including API, UI (browser and mobile), security, performance and accessibility. Success means well-structured, maintainable and fully tested systems delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards. You’ll also shape continuous improvement across the Quality Engineering discipline.\nWhat you'll be doing\nImplement a full range of test activities including BDD, API, UI (browser and mobile), performance, security, exploratory and accessibility testing in line with the Global Test Strategy\nManage POD test deliverables across the agile development lifecycle to embed the new way of working\nCoordinate testing dependencies and touchpoints across POD and cross-POD teams to keep delivery on track\nRepresent Quality Engineering in Scrum ceremonies and key project meetings and act as the escalation point for testing within the POD\nBuild effective working relationships with stakeholders and provide clear updates on quality status and risks\nAdvise the Product Owner and project stakeholders on product readiness for go-live decisions\nImprove Quality Engineering processes by contributing ideas and changes that strengthen outcomes and consistency\nResolve delivery blockers by proposing practical workarounds and closing gaps through measurable improvements and value addition\nWhat we're looking for\nBring experience building and enhancing automation frameworks\nDemonstrate strong Quality Engineering and test management capability across delivery and support\nApply hands-on experience with Appium, Java and Selenium\nUse knowledge of Retail Banking requirements to identify key use cases and edge scenarios for mobile banking\nApply working experience in Agile methodology or SAFe including in-sprint automation\nUse practical experience with BDD approaches including Cucumber, Gherkin and related tooling\nWork confidently with REST APIs and supporting technologies such as HTTP, JSON and tools like REST Assured or Karate plus Maven or Gradle and JUnit or TestNG\nUse toolchain experience with JIRA, Jenkins (CI/CD exposure) and Confluence to support delivery\nApply a basic understanding of performance testing and cyber security quality engineering\nUse experience with BrowserStack or other cloud-based device farms plus familiarity with AI coding assistants\nBuild quality into every release\nIf you want to shape how quality is engineered across modern mobile and API journeys this role offers real scope to make an impact.
