We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Control Tester\nIn this role, you will:\nSupport the Review lead and Assistant Vice President in executing the accurate and timely completion of independent control assessments for all relevant risks and associated controls \nOversee the quality of work delivered by the Control Testing(CT) team and ensure compliance with templates, procedures, and quality requirements. \nUnderstand and document the remit, process composition and team handovers of relevant controls. \nProactively monitor the assigned and relevant risks to identify key emerging trends and themes \nExecution and delivery of a portfolio of control assessments. \nAccurate, timely and reliable testing of controls associated with all relevant risks \nSupport the production of high-quality management information (MI) covering CT activities. \nIncreased utilisation of automation and analytics across all control assessments. \nProvide thought leadership and direction for ad-hoc requests and be able to prioritize. \nTo be successful you will:\nMinimum of 3 to 5 years proven experience in assurance, audit, compliance or risk management within financial services or other major industries. \nDemonstrable knowledge in management, internal control, or internal audit preferably within a financial / banking services operations environment \nMinimum Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business, finance, law or equivalent experience. Risk qualifications (i.e. CIA -Certified Internal Auditor, FRM - Financial Risk Manager) are desirable. \nProven ability to multi-task and working independently under pressure to tight deadlines in a challenging and fluid environment. \nAwareness of good risk management and governance frameworks including 3 lines of defence criteria \nUnderstanding of the activities of relevant business lines and associated compliance risks. \nAbility to foster relationships whilst providing adequate challenge and effecting change.Experience utilising assurance automation and analytics tools preferred. \nSOX, NON-SOX, Internal Control, Automated control Testing (BACs) \nYou’ll achieve more at HSBC\nwww.hsbc.com/careers\nHSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
