This role sits at the centre of that work, building client-facing applications and orchestration capabilities that reduce the time it takes for clients and staff to complete onboarding and KYC. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.\nIn this role you will:\nBuild and deliver inhouse onboarding and KYC products for CIB Client Services, from design through to production\nDesign solutions using microservice architecture in close partnership with product to understand requirements and the impact of change\nSet a high-cadence delivery approach across new functionality and legacy replacement while maintaining quality in production\nStrengthen collaboration between engineering teams across regions to improve consistency and speed of delivery\nEmbed engineering principles and contribute to engineering transformation across the global organisation\nShape solution designs aligned to Future State Architecture, promoting component reuse and economies of scale\nPromote and embed AI capabilities to improve automation design across onboarding and KYC processes\nIntegrate agentic solutions into the SDLC to improve delivery effectiveness and production quality\nTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:\nBring extensive experience building applications using non-breaking principles, particularly RESTful APIs\nDemonstrate established experience developing microservices using highly iterative methods and releasing to production regularly\nApply deep Java experience, preferably with more recent versions such as 17 or higher\nBuild and manage database schemas with substantial PostgreSQL experience\nTranslate effectively between business outcomes and technical delivery through strong communication\nDevelop and scale large high-performing engineering teams with a clear focus on team development\nInfluence global engineering groups to evolve engineering mindset and culture\nBreak down business requirements into incremental deliveries without large planning cycles\nOpening up a world of opportunity.\nBeing open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
