This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.\nIn this role you will:\nBe a proactive, collaborative and inquisitive member of the Standards and Controls leadership team\nAct as a key technical leader, overseeing delivery from inception to completion\nShape and refine the bank’s API standards, gathering customer feedback and iterating\nExplore AI opportunities (e.g., AI review feedback integrated into standards assessments)\nLead/facilitate product planning and prioritisation aligned to the future vision for API standards and tooling\nAlign and communicate product roadmaps with customers at the centre of change\nChampion the use of data and metrics to understand and improve customer outcomes\nProvide guidance and mentorship to development teams; ensure best practices and continuous learning\nTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:\nExtensive hands-on software development experience across multiple languages/frameworks\nStrong grounding in software fundamentals: design patterns, data structures, algorithms, architecture\nExperience applying AI to software development patterns/processes to improve delivery at scale\nProven leadership skills (guiding teams, creating a productive environment)\nProduct/project management capability (planning, resourcing, delivery)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges\nExperience working in a control environment or with Technology controls\nExperience working in a global organisation with distributed teams and strong collaboration skills\nOpening up a world of opportunity\nBeing open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
