The department supports the Group’s businesses and functions to effectively deliver messages digitally through HSBC public websites and intranets.\nThe primary role of a Web Production Manager (WPM) is overall management and accountability for designated team, websites and website owners. The role will be the point of contact for stakeholders on their day-to-day requirements and serve as first line of escalation. The role will be the final approver in the content publishing workflow - and therefore bear ultimate responsibility in safeguarding quality standards and integrity of content published on HSBC websites based on the website owners’ specifications.\nThe role entails management of production initiatives and oversee delivery of the team including accessibility check, content related search engine optimisation requirements, tagging, support IT and emergency deployment tests, incidents management and publishing risks, and help administer compliance as required by website owners. The role holder is expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams eg IT, marketing, vendor, and other SMEs to identify technical gaps and resolution.\nThe role is required to have a level of understanding of content management systems used by HSBC and will have to achieve competency in those systems.\nThe Web Production Manager is expected to assist and/or report to the identified chapter lead within the service. The chapter lead will then be responsible for the team’s objectives and performance review, supporting the Production lead in making sure the overall goals and strategic alignment both on the service and business are met.\nPrincipal Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nEnsure team adherence to department guidelines, compliance regulations, policies and procedures relating to content and web design with coordination with teams and business stakeholders\nPeriodic review of processes to identify opportunities and actionable improvements to be implemented\nMaintain documentation and ensure consistency in navigation, use of templates, functionality and different website elements through testing and deployments\nWork with teams to generate, review and analyse websites performance\nGuarantee a high-quality of work by reviewing own and team’s output, identify skills gaps, and provide training as needed\nEnsure delivery of projects according to specification, cost, and timeline by regularly monitoring requirements, planning, and directing production in collaboration with different teams eg IT, vendor, marketing, etc.\nTechnical expertise on web development, content management systems, and other digital publishing platforms and tools\nSolid knowledge on CSS, HTML and JavaScript to conduct day-to-day content management activities and oversee the team’s delivery and targets\nMaintaining best practice in producing online content, in accordance with compliance, and style guides\nEssential understanding on proofreading and editorial content check\nStructured and systematic working style in managing tasks assigned as a member, lead and the subject matter expert\nRestate the fundamentals of website user experience, accessibility standards Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), analytics and Search Engine Optimisation SEO practices to enable process and website metrics improvements \nWork with support teams in addressing production issues through root-cause analysis, risk and impact assessment and create mitigating controls\nPeople skills to develop capabilities and skills of all team members through structured training programmes, embedding a coaching culture, peer-to-peer mentoring, and future skills\nSkills & Capailities\nProficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications\nWeb experience: Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and web design principles is required\nVideo production experience: Working knowledge of video creation process from pre to post production\nDue to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritized.\nAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days, so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
