By working collaboratively with our partners, we are increasing the supply of quality affordable housing where it is needed most.\nPPHA’s north star is to create homes for more than 8,000 families and individuals by 2030, helping to address the housing crisis while delivering sustainable, long-term returns for our investment partners.\nCore Behaviours:\nCore mission\nAs Paralegal, your core mission is to support the successful execution of HSPG’s real estate transactions, ensuring legal processes progress efficiently and accurately at every stage.\nYou will be an integral member of the legal team, supporting the General Counsel and Legal Counsel to progress a wide range of transactional and operational legal matters across the business, including loan drawdowns, acquisitions, disposals, leasing and legal administration. You will enable commercial decision-making by keeping documentation, searches and process on track.\nThis is a hands-on and execution-focused role. You will take ownership of the detail and coordination required to keep matters moving - ensuring nothing is dropped or left unresolved.\nYou will work closely with internal teams, external lawyers and stakeholders and will proactively manage relationships and hold all parties to account to achieve seamless transaction execution aligned with HSPG’s strategic objectives.\nYou will support with legal research, drafting and process improvement across the legal function, helping the business scale efficiently with the implementation of innovative and tech-enabled processes and strategies.\nAccountability\nYou are accountable for:\nPreparing and progressing legal documentation and supporting due diligence across the group’s acquisitions, disposals and financing arrangements\nProactively working with external advisers and pursuing outstanding deal items to ensure timely execution\nSupporting the legal team in providing clear, structured guidance to stakeholder\nYou are not accountable for:\nAssessing the financial viability of transactions\nDuplicating work undertaken by external lawyers\nProviding formal legal advice or legal judgements\nSpecific experience\nAt least 2 years’ experience working as a paralegal doing transactional work, whether at a law firm or in-house.\n\nExperience supporting residential and/or commercial real estate portfolio acquisitions, disposals, and financing is strongly preferred.\n\nObsess:\nYou obsess over:\nCommunication: you have excellent written and verbal communication skills - tailoring your communication style to your audience.\nOrganising: you focus on organising and connecting information across legal documents, so complex detail is easy for the wider team and non-lawyers to follow and act on.\nEfficiency: you are obsessed with achieving optimal efficiency for you and your team, constantly iterating systems and legal processes accordingly.\nExcel:\nYou excel at:\nProject management: you keep multiple transactions moving at once, tracking key dates, milestones and outstanding actions across every matter.
