Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within an international charity. Alongside core day-to-day accounting tasks, you will gain exposure to management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and year-end processes, all within a supportive and collaborative team.\nApplications for this role will close on Sunday 25th October. The salary for this role is £32,000 - £38,000.\nSome of the key responsibilities include:\nPrepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journals and supporting financial analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.\nReview twice-monthly purchase ledger payment runs, including due diligence for outward grants, and investigate any queries or discrepancies.\nAssist with the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, annual budgets and financial reports.\nSupport financial controls and compliance activities, including supplier approvals and regulatory reporting.\nAssist with year-end processes, audit requirements and Charity Commission reporting.\nProvide financial information and support to budget holders and the Giving Team.\nIdentify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting efficiency.\nRequirements\nEssential Skills, Experience and Knowledge:\nDegree in Accounting, Finance or a related subject, or studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).\nExperience working in a finance or accounting role, including exposure to month-end processes, reconciliations, budgeting or financial reporting.\nStrong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.\nExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.\nCharity or not-for-profit sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential.\nA proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to build positive working
