This role is the primary administrator for that instance. We also have a number of other business systems such as our email marketing solution Campaign Monitor, many of which are linked to Salesforce. This role will also be responsible for system administration and change management across these systems.\nWith a primary focus on Salesforce, but working across our other business systems, you'll work closely with the Head of CRM to keep the platforms healthy, translate business needs into well-built solutions, and make sure people across Alpha International can get genuine value from the tools at their disposal. It's a hands-on configuration and administration role, but it's not a ticket queue. We want someone who notices what's not working before anyone asks, who asks good questions when a brief lands on their desk, and who brings a business analyst's eye to platform work as well as a technical one.\nApplications for this role will close on Sunday 25th October. The salary range for this position is between £43,000 - £45,000.\nSome of the key responsibilities for this position are:\nPlatform Administration\nAdminister Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, and related business systems, managing users, permissions, security, and access controls.\nOversee data governance, retention, and platform compliance standards.\nMonitor platform performance and maintain configuration best practices to optimise system effectiveness.\nDevelopment and Technical Delivery\nDesign, build, and maintain Salesforce functionality, including automation, custom objects, validation rules, and page layouts.\nDeliver scalable technical solutions aligned with business requirements and Salesforce best practices.\nEstablish and maintain consistent development, configuration, and naming standards across the platform.\nBusiness Analysis and Solution Design\nPartner with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenge assumptions, and identify process improvement opportunities.\nTranslate requirements into practical, well-scoped Salesforce solutions and provide technical design input.\nAdvise on platform capabilities and champion sustainable, long-term approaches to solution design.\nSystems Integration and Data\nAdminister, monitor, and support Salesforce integrations with finance, fundraising, events, giving, and communications systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve integration and data synchronisation issues.\nCollaborate with the Head of CRM on the scoping and implementation of new system integrations.\nConnected Systems and Vendor Management\nAct as the Salesforce point of contact for connected platforms such as FormAssembly and Conga.\nSupport platform administrators with user access, configuration, and day-to-day operational issues.\nEnsure integrations remain effective and aligned as connected systems evolve and update.\nData Quality and Reporting\nMonitor and improve data quality, accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the Salesforce ecosystem.\nDevelop reports and dashboards to identify data issues, discrepancies, and reporting needs.\nSupport financial reporting and reconciliation requirements in partnership with Finance and Fund Development teams.\nUser Support, Training, and Change Management\nServe as the primary contact for Salesforce support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.\nDeliver user training, guidance, and documentation to drive effective platform adoption.\nSupport change management activities associated with new processes and system enhancements.\nDocumentation and Continuous Improvement\nMaintain clear documentation of platform changes, configurations, and development decisions.\nProactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes and Salesforce functionality.\nPromote continuous improvement through best practice recommendations and system optimisation.\nTesting and Release Management\nCoordinate and support user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.\nAssist with release and deployment activities in line with CRM governance processes.\nEnsure all changes are documented, tested, approved, and ready before production release.\nRequirements\nThe following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role:\n2-5 years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience\nExperience administering Salesforce in an organisation with multiple connected systems and integrations\nA track record of working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions\nExperience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is required or strongly preferred - including the household account model, TDTM (Trigger-Driven Trigger Management), donation and recurring gift management, and data import tooling.
