This position is responsible for working with Hub Group Operations to manage and promote carriers in the network, and focus on opportunities that increase carrier volume, relationship efficiency and customer satisfaction. Serve as an industry expert, understanding transportation market trends, indices and forecasts.\nEssential Job Functions:\nSource opportunities for improved performance and/or improved margins.\nWork with account Operations, Sales and Executive Leadership to identify, qualify, and progress potential new opportunities.\nDevelop and implement strategic plans and goals for carrier base.\nOversee QBR’s for Hub Groups top Carriers.\nSeek new business opportunities with our top vendors to maintain balance and improve margins.\nIdentify opportunities which increase value and efficiency for our carriers & or our customers.\nResearch and identify carrier market pricing for new business opportunities assessments with our top carriers.\nProvide leadership, direction and guidance to staff through a project/bid to ensure the expected outcome is achieved.\nEstablish performance goals/expectations and accountabilities for self and staff members.\nRaise any concerns or issues related to resources, financial performance and service levels with account owner/sales or senior management.\nOversee department resource planning and execution.\nDuties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics and or related fields.\n3-5 years’ work experience in third-party logistics, in operations and/or customer facing role.\n5 years’ experience in leadership/management role.\nSolid understanding of transportation and logistics principles, economics, and supply chain network behavior.\nKnowledge of Transportation industry preferred.\nOutstanding leadership abilities including problem solving, interpersonal communications, goal orientation, teaching/coaching, self-discipline and systemic thinking.\nExcellent communications skills;
