Capacity Planning Manager reports to the Director of Intermodal Operations.\nEssential Job Functions\n Responsible for analyzing Driver Optimization solutions and assigning loads to HGT Capacity in compliance with federal safety regulations, such as “Hours of Service” Federal Regulations, geographic considerations, equipment constraints to maximize driver utilization.\nSupports the development of market plan and is accountable for the capacity planning function which executes the daily load plans for Hub Group Trucking drivers of all inbound and outbound loads for an assigned geographic territory.\nWorks with Intermodal Operations and Network Optimization to maximize equipment utilization and driver productivity\nProactively works with Terminal Operations, Intermodal Operations and Account Management to confirm capacity coverage in advance of anticipated customer requirements.\nPlans and implements initiatives to improve routing and equipment utilization consistent with customer expectations and Network needs.\nAccountable for meeting established metrics, including loaded miles, driver utilization, service, safety and cost per load.\nDuties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed as business needs arise.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.\n2-3 years’ experience in transportation operations (truckload or intermodal) preferred.\nProficiency with transportation management systems in a large corporate environment preferred.\nStrong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nMust be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced
