They actively support continuous improvement projects, maintain compliance with quality and safety standards, and perform various duties to uphold the company's mission and vision while adhering to safety regulations.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position manages all employees working in upstream press production: Press Room Supervisor/Lead(s), Press Operators, Press Assistants, Ink Room, Plate Storage, Plate Making, Hot Stamp, Offline Sheeter, Tray Wash Room.\nDuties/ Responsibilities:\nFacilitates communication between departments to ensure smooth and efficient production and shipment of products.\n\nAssists in developing training programs for upstream press operations, helping employees enhance their skills.\n\nLeads and implements training for Press Operators, Press Support, and Production Leads.\n\nMonitors and reports on the effectiveness of training efforts, including HOP/OEE and Quality metrics.\n\nManages all aspects of upstream production in a collaborative team environment.\n\nSupports continuous improvement projects focused on cost, safety, quality, and service enhancements.\n\nOversees and conducts annual/quarterly performance reviews for direct reports according to company policy.\n\nDevelop and conduct 30/60/90 day new hire performance reviews.\n\nSupports Press Room Supervisor with day-to-day personnel matters such as attendance, conduct, and disciplinary actions.\n\nRecognizes and rewards outstanding employee achievements using Hub recognition programs.\n\nAssists in developing procedures, job descriptions, and collaborates with other departments on joint procedures as needed.\n\nParticipates in staff recruiting and screening with HR.\n\nOversees workflow in upstream press operations and press support functions.\n\nPerforms regular audits in upstream production to ensure compliance with quality and safety processes.\n\nEvaluates daily metrics and communicates production results to production teams.\n\nOversees 6S methodology for all upstream production.\n\nPerforms other duties as needed to support the company's mission and vision.\n\nAdheres to Hub Labels' safety rules and regulations, including wearing steel-toed shoes and other required PPE\n\nHub Labels offers general benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and 401k with company match\nQualifications\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nMust be detail oriented\nAbility to act with a sense of urgency\nEducation & Experience:\nMust have a high school diploma or GED\nTwo (2) years experience as manager/leader position is preferred\nPrior knowledge of print is preferred\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements:\nSpecific sight requirements include: close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus\nWhile performing this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear\nThe employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods\nThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
