We are now looking to bring on talented team members who are the best at what they do to help us make Hubble a reality for the world.\n\nThis is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who wants to be a builder. The CFO will strengthen the financial infrastructure behind Hubble Network and help leadership evaluate the strategic paths available to a capital-efficient private company, including continued independent growth, future private investment, strategic transactions, and eventual public-company readiness. This is a hands-on executive role for a finance leader who can operate at both the strategic and operational levels. You will work directly with the COO and leadership team to build the systems, reporting, controls, planning discipline, and capital strategy that Hubble Network needs as it scales. You will own finance, accounting, and FP&A, improve decision quality across the company, and help prepare Hubble Network for the opportunities available to a profitable private technology company.\nThe current finance function is lean. A small team is already in place, and the CFO will be expected to lead, mentor, and level up that team while also building better systems and processes. Some processes need to be formalized. Some systems need to be established or upgraded. Some reporting needs to become more sophisticated and automated. We want someone who sees that as an opportunity. The right person will bring structure, judgment, and rigor without adding bureaucracy.\nResponsibilities:\nOwn accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, tax, reporting, and strategic finance functions, including management of a small finance and accounting team.\nBuild scalable financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls for a profitable, growing technology company.\nLead budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, financial modeling, and performance reporting.\nPartner with the COO and leadership team on capital allocation, pricing, margins, hiring plans, vendor spend, accounts receivable, legal spend, and long-term strategy.\nAdvise on long-term capital strategy, including continued independent growth, future private investment, debt or equity financing, strategic partnerships, M&A, and eventual public-company readiness.\nBuild the financial reporting, controls, forecasting, and diligence readiness needed to keep those strategic paths available.\nPrepare clear financial materials for leadership, investors, lenders, auditors, advisors, and strategic counterparties when needed.\nManage tax planning, tax reporting, franchise tax filings, and relationships with outside tax advisors.\nLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.\nLead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while building clearer processes, stronger reporting, and a better operating cadence.\nImprove the finance function while preserving Hubble Network's high-trust, transparent, and low-bureaucracy culture.\nRequired Skills:\n7+ years as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, Head of Finance (FP&A), investment banker, strategic finance leader, or capital markets professional.\nExperience with public or private investment, including investor relations, equity or debt financing, M&A, growth equity, venture capital, private capital, or IPO/public-company readiness.\nStrong understanding of financial reporting, accounting operations, tax, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit readiness.\nExperience in high-growth technology, SaaS, API, AI, data infrastructure, developer tools, or usage-based business models.\nAbility to turn financial data into clear recommendations for founders and operators.\nStrong judgment, high ownership, and comfort building inside a lean company.\nWillingness to do both strategic executive work and hands-on operating work.\nClear written communication and strong async collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCPA, MBA, public accounting, investment banking, transaction advisory, or strategic finance background.\nExperience preparing a private company for institutional investment, M&A, audit, IPO readiness, or public-company reporting.\nExperience with finance systems, ERP implementation, SaaS metrics, usage-based revenue models, 409A valuations, equity administration, board reporting, or investor materials.\nExperience working directly with founders, technical teams, or engineering-led companies.\nCompensation & Benefits:\n Salary: $250,000-$350,000 annually (commensurate with experience) \n Comprehensive Benefits - Health, Dental, Vision, & HSA options\n Unlimited PTO\n Commuter Benefits (if working from HQ)\n Learning & Development Allowance\n Health & Wellness Stipend\n Sabbatical Program - Recharge and explore new ideas\n Cutting-Edge Space Tech - Work on state-of-the-art satellite system\nThe posted compensation range reflects multiple levels within Hubble Network's Talent architecture.
