HiveMQ and HighByte Intelligence Hub.\nThe role involves deploying, automating, monitoring, and maintaining edge-to-cloud solutions connecting manufacturing and Operational Technology (OT) systems with enterprise and cloud platforms.\nLocation: Groton, CT (Onsite)\nDuration: 6-12+ Months Contract\nExperience Required: 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering, with hands-on exposure to MQTT/IIoT platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy, configure, automate, and maintain DevOps infrastructure supporting IIoT applications.\n\nDeploy and administer HiveMQ MQTT brokers, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and scalability.\n\nDeploy and manage HighByte Intelligence Hub and associated industrial data pipelines.\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.\n\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible.\n\nContainerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes.\n\nSupport edge-to-cloud data pipelines connecting PLC, SCADA, MES, historian, ERP, and cloud systems.\n\nConfigure and troubleshoot industrial connectivity using MQTT, OPC UA, REST APIs, and TCP/IP.\n\nImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for infrastructure, MQTT brokers, edge applications, and data pipelines.\n\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, networking, certificates, authentication, connectivity, and data-flow issues across OT, edge, and cloud environments.\n\nImplement DevSecOps practices covering access management, secrets, certificates, vulnerability management, and secure deployments.\n\nCollaborate with engineering teams to improve availability, performance, security, and scalability.\n\nRequirements\nMust-Have Skills\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.\n\nHands-on experience with MQTT/IIoT platforms.\n\nExperience with HiveMQ MQTT broker deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.\n\nExperience with HighByte Intelligence Hub, including installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, or operational support.\n\nStrong understanding of MQTT architecture, topics, publishers/subscribers, QoS, connectivity, and security.\n\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nCI/CD experience using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.\n\nInfrastructure automation experience using Terraform and/or Ansible.\n\nStrong Linux administration and scripting skills.\n\nExperience with Azure or AWS cloud environments.\n\nUnderstanding of industrial/OT connectivity, particularly OPC UA and MQTT.\n\nExperience supporting highly available, secure, production-grade environments.\n\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience with Azure IoT Hub or Azure Event Hubs.\n\nDirect experience with both HiveMQ and HighByte Intelligence Hub.\n\nExperience integrating manufacturing/OT systems with enterprise and cloud platforms.\n\nKnowledge of DevSecOps practices and industrial data
