You’ll be responsible for everything from racking and cabling to planning large-scale deployments-ensuring our colocations remain robust, efficient, and low-latency.\nResponsibilities\nPlan, execute, and document data center installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects\nTravel to regional and remote data centers to lead infrastructure projects and ongoing operational work\nOversee and coordinate remote hands tasks\nInstall and document racks, structured cabling, servers, switches, PDUs, and other hardware per HRT’s regional and global standards\nManage equipment inventory, forecast hardware needs, and coordinate logistics\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to ensure infrastructure uptime and performance\nQualifications\n3+ years of hands-on experience in high-availability or financial colocation environments\nStrong understanding of data center power systems, redundancy, and infrastructure design\nDeep knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, including best practices for structured cabling\nFamiliarity with rack-level cooling and airflow management\nProven experience building PC/server hardware-bonus points for overclocking expertise\nComfortable using Linux (especially bash) and troubleshooting serial console access\nProficient with hand tools and able to lift up to 30 lbs of equipment\nBonus: Python or shell scripting experience\nClear communicator who enjoys cross-team collaboration\nHighly organized and able to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision\nProactive problem solver with a passion for learning and evolving alongside new technologies\nWilling to travel regularly and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment\nThe estimated base salary range for this position is 80,000 to 120,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
