You will be responsible for hands-on infrastructure management, including hardware troubleshooting, data center deployment work and coordinating with remote hands. If you are a hard worker who enjoys the hands-on side of technology and is looking to make an impact within a premier global trading firm, we’d love to speak with you.\nResponsibilities\nAct as the primary point of contact for remote hands and data center technicians to coordinate hardware installations and repairs\nPerform routine server and network hardware maintenance (e.g. troubleshooting, cabling work, component replacements, etc.)\nEnsure network circuits are operational, including implementing cross connects and troubleshooting with carriers on link issues\nExecute operating system installations and basic server configurations following detailed documentation\nManage physical asset tracking and inventory across global data center locations\nScript basic solutions to automate routine checkups and operational reporting\nWork closely with the Trading Operations team to coordinate and execute scheduled maintenance activities\nTroubleshoot connectivity and hardware failures in a live production environment\nQualifications\n1-5 years of relevant experience in a hands-on technical role preferred\nBasic network administration skillset, including the ability to log in to switches, routers, and firewalls to run basic commands\nFundamental understanding of Linux/UNIX command line tools and basic system administration\nPractical experience with hardware troubleshooting (Servers, NICs, SFPs, and different types of cabling)\nFamiliarity with basic networking concepts and circuit troubleshooting\nExperience with shell scripting (Bash) or Python for basic task automation is a plus\nAbility to follow complex technical instructions with extreme attention to detail\nComfort working outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends) to support a global, 24-hour trading cycle\nStrong communication skills in order to provide clear updates to stakeholders across time zones\nA disciplined approach to production environments\nBackground in trading infrastructure teams or tech companies with significant data center footprint, is a plus\nCulture\nHudson River Trading (HRT) brings a scientific approach to trading financial products.
