Our PhD Winter Internship program is a 3 week introduction to quantitative research designed for graduate students with little or no experience in quantitative trading. Over the course of the program, you will:\nLearn about a wide range of trading styles from leading experts in the field\nWork on independent research projects, representative of real work at HRT\nTrain models on our state of the art compute cluster\nExplore all that New York City has to offer through a variety of social events and tech talks\nThis program begins on January 4, 2027. This is an in-person program and will take place in our New York City office.\nRequirements\nYou are a full-time PhD student graduating between fall 2027 and summer 2029 in a technical or quantitative discipline (math, physics, computer science, statistics, machine learning, or a related program) \nDemonstrated experience in programming; familiarity with Python and/or C++ is preferred\nA passion for technology and excitement for learning something new\nExceptional problem solving skills\nStrong communication skills\nThis program is specifically offered for individuals without extensive experience in the quantitative trading industry. \nWeekly base salary of $5,800 in addition to company-paid housing, meals, and other perks.\nCulture\nHudson River Trading (HRT) brings a scientific approach to trading financial products.
