Description\nPurpose of the Role\nTo assume responsibility for process performance within the CD Remelt area by establishing, entrenching and improving process control standards, leading improvement and process projects, and driving data-led analysis of quality attributes to reduce melt loss and improve overall departmental performance.\nThe core competencies for this position include:\nAssume responsibility for the process performance within the CD Remelt Area.\nLead improvement and process projects.\nManage the Quality Information System.\nData analysis, trending and monitoring of all quality attributes to assist in melt loss reduction.\nEstablish, update and entrench process control standards and controlled documents within the department.\nReview furnace output and resolve constraints by conducting trend analysis and engaging different teams.\nAssist with the development, training and entrenching of best practices.\nProvide technical support and assistance to improve overall performance (production related delays).\nProvide support to the production areas through metallographic analysis of in-process metal defects and participate in problem solving task teams across the plant.\nDevelop skills and expert usage of the metal testing equipment and procedures such as PODFA, LIMCA, SEM, etc.\nJob Requirements\nThe core requirements for this position include:\nBSc Engineering (Metallurgical, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical).\nAt least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.\nA good understanding and experience of metallurgical processes associated with casting.\nSix Sigma qualification is advantageous.\nExperience in an analytical language (e.g. Python, R, Julia).\nKnowledge and track record of Project Management methodologies.\nPractical experience using Process Control methodologies.\nA proven quantitative and fact-based approach to fault finding and troubleshooting.\nKey Competencies\nKnowledge of manufacturing principles and economics of manufacturing.\nEquipment capability, maintenance knowledge, and experience.\nProject management and engineering skills.\nThe ability to research, initiate and lead own projects.\nProven experience in driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of the product development and casting model.\nProven capability to manage recoveries.\nManagement of the Quality Information System.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nProficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access at an advanced level.\nGood leadership, organisation and team building skills.\nKey Success Measures (KPIs)\nMelt loss reduction.\nFurnace output and resolution of process constraints.\nCompliance to
