With Athena, our agentic AI layer, Humaans moves beyond data management into intelligent orchestration, connecting workflows across HR, IT, Finance, and Operations so organisations can act faster and with greater confidence, redefining how work gets done.\nWe work with ambitious teams across Europe and the US, from AI-native companies like Lovable, Poolside, Fyxer AI, and Tandem Health, to established, high-growth organisations scaling internationally and through acquisition, including Quantexa, Sellpy, Manychat, Gigs, Croud, and Threecolts. These teams don’t buy software for features, they buy leverage. The ability to run faster, cleaner, and with more control as complexity compounds.\nTo date, we’ve raised $20m in venture funding from some of the most respected founders, operators, and funds in technology: Lachy Groom (Physical Intelligence), Stewart Butterfield (Slack), Tobias Lütke (Shopify), Dylan Field (Figma), Jeff Weiner (LinkedIn), Claire Johnson (Stripe), Oliver Jay (OpenAI), Jay Simmons (Bond) as well as Y Combinator, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, Pathlight Ventures, and Exor.\nIf you have massive ambition and want to work on a hard problem, with a small team that moves fast, at a moment when the category is genuinely up for grabs - this is it.\nThe role\nWe’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to own meaningful areas of Humaans end to end, from understanding the problem and exploring ideas through to the details of what we ship.\nThis is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant product ownership. You’ll lead a product area from conception to launch, combining product thinking, interaction design and visual craft to turn complex customer problems into simple, elegant experiences.\nYou’ll work closely with engineers throughout the process, building and iterating together rather than treating design and implementation as separate phases. You’ll be expected to form a point of view, make thoughtful trade-offs and contribute to the strategic decisions that shape where Humaans goes next.\nWe care deeply about craft, but also about outcomes and speed. You’ll have the autonomy to take ideas from ambiguous problems to shipped experiences while maintaining a high bar for quality.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn a product area end to end, from early exploration and problem definition through to launch and iteration\n\nDesign flows and experiences that make complex workflows feel simple, intuitive and elegant\n\nConnect our business vision with customer needs, turning both into useful product experiences\n\nContribute to strategic decisions about product direction and help shape what we build next\n\nDefine how experiences behave and establish thoughtful interaction patterns across your product area\n\nApply strong visual craft across typography, colour, layout, iconography and the overall product experience\n\nWork closely with engineers as you build, iterate and ship, navigating technical constraints together rather than designing in isolation\n\nSeek feedback throughout the process and contribute feedback to others, helping raise the quality bar across the product\n\nBalance short-term opportunities with longer-term product thinking, making pragmatic decisions about what matters now and what comes next\n\nMove quickly from ambiguity to execution while maintaining a high standard for the experiences we put in front of customers\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nStrong end-to-end experience designing and shipping software products, with examples of work you’ve taken from an ambiguous problem through to a finished experience\n\nExcellent interaction design skills and a strong understanding of how to create intuitive behaviours, flows and product patterns\n\nStrong visual design craft and thoughtful judgement across typography, colour, layout, hierarchy, iconography and aesthetics\n\nThe ability to think tactically about what needs to happen now while maintaining a strategic view of how the product should evolve over time\n\nStrong product judgement and the ability to connect customer needs, business objectives and design decisions\n\nExperience taking ownership of a product area and contributing meaningfully to product direction\n\nThe ability to articulate your decisions, explain trade-offs and present your work clearly to the broader team\n\nComfort working directly with engineers throughout the design and development process\n\nThe ability to execute at speed and navigate changing priorities without losing sight of quality\n\nA high degree of ownership, curiosity and attention to detail\n\nYou may not be a great fit if\nYou prefer receiving clearly defined requirements rather than owning a problem from discovery through to launch\n\nYou want to move away from hands-on design into a primarily management or leadership role\n\nYou prefer specialising exclusively in either UX or visual design rather than owning the complete experience end to end\n\nYou see design as a handoff to Engineering rather than something you build and iterate on closely together\n\nYou’re uncomfortable forming a point of view or contributing to decisions about what the product should do, not just how it should look\n\nYou need lengthy, predictable design cycles before you can move towards implementation\n\nYou find it difficult to balance immediate product needs with the longer-term quality and direction of the experience\n\nThis is an in-person role. Our team comes together in the office Monday through Thursday, while most of the team collaborates in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.\nPackage & Benefits\nEarly stage startups can be messy - we know that. We're putting effort in providing you with the best employee experience and a quality driven environment in exchange for trusting us.\nMarket-leading compensation that reflects your value\n\n25 days paid time off each year plus public holidays\n\nShare Options with 5-year exercise window so you don’t feel pressure to exercise if you leave\n\nQuarterly team events, and company offsites\n\nTop tier private coverage for health, vision and dental care\n\nA new MacBook and tools you need to do your best work\n\nEnhanced parental leave with up to 16 weeks for primary and 4 weeks for secondary\n\nLearning & development budget\n\nWhy Join Humaans Today?\nHR tech is having its AI moment and we’re positioned to own it. Humaans started as a next-gen HRIS taking on large incumbents in a massive market. We’ve since evolved into something even bigger: an AI platform that sits across workforce data and automates the operational layer of HR entirely; the natural progression of what we’ve been building toward.\nThe product is highly differentiated. It’s built around a structured workforce data model that makes AI reliable in an HR context, something no one else has gotten right. Customers notice the difference immediately.\nWe’re backed by Y Combinator, Lachy Groom, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, and operators who’ve built some of the most consequential software companies of the last decade: the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, and Asana’s former CRO and Head of OpenAI International.\nWe’re a small team with an unapologetically high bar. It shows up in the product, in how we communicate, and in the standards we hold each other to.\nOur Commitment to Diversity\nAt Humaans we’re looking for genuinely good people that are transparent and emphatic. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities, a diverse and inclusive work environment, and ensuring a fair interview process for everyone. You’re welcome to apply no matter your gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race.\nPrivacy notice\nWe care about your privacy. When you apply for a role at Humaans, we’ll collect and process your personal data as part of our recruitment process. This includes things like your CV, contact details, and any other information you choose to share. We may also contact you about future opportunities. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
