Reporting to the AVP, Quality Engineering - Segment, this role will lead teams responsible for delivery quality, test automation, release readiness, and continuous improvement across multiple product and application teams.\nThis leader will work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, and enterprise quality partners to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and improve release confidence, delivery speed, and production stability.\nResponsibilities\nLead quality engineering execution across a defined portfolio, domain, or set of technology products and applications.\nBuild, develop, and coach high-performing quality engineering teams, including managers, leads, engineers, and SDETs.\nDrive consistent quality engineering practices across agile teams, with a focus on built-in quality and shared accountability.\nOversee quality planning and execution across functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing.\nPartner with Engineering and DevOps teams to support release readiness, validation, and stable production deployments.\nLead defect management practices, including triage, root cause analysis, trend identification, and prevention.\nAdvance automation-first quality engineering capabilities to improve test coverage, speed, and reliability.\nHelp integrate quality signals, automated validation, and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport modernization of testing frameworks and approaches for APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-aligned architectures.\nCoordinate non-functional quality activities, including performance, resiliency, operational readiness, and security validation support.\nUse quality metrics and insights to identify improvement opportunities and drive portfolio quality maturity.\nPartner with segment and enterprise stakeholders to align execution with broader quality engineering strategy, standards, and reference architecture direction.\nUse your skills to make an impact\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, testing, or related technical disciplines.\n5+ years of leadership experience managing quality engineering, test automation, or software delivery teams in large enterprise environments.\nExperience leading quality engineering execution across multiple agile teams or a complex application/product portfolio.\nDemonstrated success driving quality engineering modernization, including automation, tooling, process improvement, and metrics-driven execution.\nStrong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.\nExperience with API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing approaches.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and modern application architectures.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders.\nExperience working in matrixed organizations and leading geographically distributed teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.\nFamiliarity with member, provider, digital experience, or enterprise platform domains.\nExperience with enterprise quality tools, test management platforms, and engineering lifecycle tools.\nKnowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native architectures.\nExperience supporting non-functional testing, including performance and resiliency.\nExposure to AI-enabled quality engineering or intelligent automation capabilities.\nFamiliarity with enterprise reference architecture principles, patterns, and standards in cloud, hybrid, on-premise, and SaaS environments.\nSuccess in this Role\nIn this role, success will be measured by:\nImproved release stability and delivery quality across the assigned portfolio.\nReduced escaped defects and production incidents related to delivery quality.\nIncreased automation adoption, regression reliability, and validation efficiency.\nStronger integration of quality engineering into engineering workflows and CI/CD pipelines.\nAdvancement of quality engineering maturity and consistent execution across teams.\nPositive stakeholder partnership and strong team engagement and development outcomes.\nWork at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
