accelerate Humana's digital transformation and engineering effectiveness initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Strategy & Technology Leadership\nDefine and execute the technology vision, engineering strategy, and delivery roadmap for EQE+, AI Workspace, AI-powered engineering tools, and shared EQE applications.\nDrive software engineering excellence through modern architecture patterns, coding standards, engineering best practices, and operational discipline.\nEstablish scalable technology solutions aligned with Humana's enterprise architecture and business objectives.\nLead platform modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, containerization, and event-driven architectures.\nServe as the senior technical leader responsible for engineering execution, technical direction, and delivery outcomes across the EQE technology portfolio.\nApplication Development & Platform Engineering\nOversee end-to-end software development lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.\nLead engineering teams responsible for the development and maintenance of: drive adoption of innovative solutions that create measurable business value.\nGuide teams in implementing AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.\nTechnical Leadership & Engineering Excellence\nProvide hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance to software engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.\nMentor teams on software development methodologies, system design, cloud technologies, AI integration, and engineering best practices.\nConduct design reviews, architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.\nAssist teams in resolving complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and production issues.\nStakeholder Partnership & Delivery Management\nCollaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.\n12+ years of software engineering and application development experience.\n5+ years of engineering leadership experience leading large-scale software development teams.\nProven experience leading development and delivery of enterprise applications, platforms, and cloud-native solutions.\nStrong hands-on software development experience utilizing: \nJava, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, PostgreSQL, React, JavaScript/TypeScript\nExtensive experience with cloud platforms including: \nStrong experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and modern software delivery methodologies.\nExperience developing scalable, highly available enterprise applications and shared services.\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, API ecosystems, event-driven architectures, and platform engineering.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing AI-enabled applications, platforms, and engineering productivity solutions.\nFamiliarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted software development.\nExperience supporting quality engineering, software testing, automation, developer enablement, or engineering productivity platforms.\nExperience within healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.\nKnowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Terraform, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and modern
