This role will partner closely with Corporate Finance, Network Performance, Network Contracting, and regional Health Services teams. This individual will manage a team covering a diverse set of responsibilities around Medicare Advantage financial business operations with a heavy focus on value-based providers. This role reports to the Market Finance Director.This role analyzes financial results, claims experience, utilization trends, contract performance, membership, and provider performance data to identify opportunities, influence business decisions, and support market growth and operational improvement. The Market Finance Lead will partner closely with regional leadership, actuarial, corporate finance, clinical, risk adjustment, market operations, network performance, network contracting, sales/MarketPoint, and value-based care providers. This individual will translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights, recommendations, and action plans that improve performance across the market.\nAs the Market Finance Lead, you will:\nManage a team to review value-based providers’ financial performance, membership, cost and utilization trends, contractual results, and opportunities for improvement.\nLead the financial portion of provider engagement prep sessions prior to joint operating committee meetings to advise the Network Performance team on contract performance and opportunities for improvement.\nLead analysis and reporting related to value-based provider and contract performance, including financial results, utilization, claims experience, membership, and operational trends.\nLeverage data analytics, business insights, cross-functional collaboration, in-depth business knowledge, and strong written and verbal communication skills to drive optimization of Medicare Advantage performance.\nSupport the region’s bid strategy, product positioning, and competitive analytics in partnership with Regional Leadership, MarketPoint, actuarial, product, and growth strategy teams.\nAlign with Corporate Finance partners on monthly accruals for value-based providers and the monthly financial close process.\nEstablish cross-functional relationships with multiple business partners across the organization to ensure the timely, accurate, and effective delivery of recurring and ad hoc initiatives.\nAnalyze market financials, claims data, utilization trends, membership movement, risk adjustment impacts, medical cost drivers, and provider contract performance.\nServe as a strategic finance partner to regional leadership, providing insights that support operational, financial, and value-based care performance.\nUse independent judgment to address complex financial and operational issues with minimal supervision.\nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external provider partners to support collaboration, accountability, and performance improvement.\nMonitor company initiatives and assess financial and operational impacts across the market.\nUse your skills to make an impact\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree\n3 or more years of experience working with Value Based Contracts (VBC) and/or Value Based Providers (VBP)\n3 or more years of experience in financial analysis and reporting\nExperience presenting to and advising senior leadership on financial strategies\nKnowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting\nDemonstrated experience leading and managing special projects that may require cross-functional partnerships\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts\nProficiency with PowerPoint, SQL, and PowerBI\nAbility and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Business Administration or a related field\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA)\nPeople management and leadership experience\nExperience in Service Fund reporting\nMicrosoft PowerQuery\nPower Automate\nHyperion Essbase\nExperience with the Medicare Advantage bid process, including financial projections, product design, and competitive analysis\nAdditional Information\nThis role is \"remote/work at home\" and can be based anywhere in the United States, however the preferred candidate will be located in the State of Louisiana.\nWork at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
