The SME will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the monitoring environment delivers actionable insights and meets operational requirements.\nUse your skills to make an impact\nKey Responsibilities:\nBasic to intermediate knowledge of networking fundamentals.\nInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain SolarWinds network monitoring systems and modules.\nDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to generate custom and ad-hoc reports.\nDesign, create, and maintain dashboards in SolarWinds to visualize performance metrics, alerts, and system status.\nTroubleshoot and resolve SolarWinds performance issues, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.\nAnalyze monitoring data to identify trends and recommend improvements.\nCollaborate with internal teams to assess monitoring and reporting needs and deliver solutions.\nDocument system configurations, processes, troubleshooting steps, and reporting procedures.\nProvide subject matter expertise and guidance on SolarWinds best practices and capabilities.\nSupport ongoing system enhancements, patches, and integrations.\nMentor and train junior team members as required.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years extensive hands-on experience with SolarWinds products (e.g., NPM, NCM, SAM).\nAdvanced proficiency in SQL for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries and reports.\nProven experience installing, upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting SolarWinds environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability.\nExperience designing and maintaining dashboards in SolarWinds.\nSolid understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and monitoring concepts.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRelevant certifications in SolarWinds or network administration.\nExperience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.\nAny Experience with these tools and skills would be a bonus:\nThousand Eyes\nLiveAction, LiveNx and LiveWire\nViavi\nSplunk\nCisco/Aruba/Palo Alto/Fortinet\nShell Scripting or Python\nAI Skills\nLinux\nGithub/ADO/CICD\nScheduled Weekly Hours\n40Pay Range\nThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
