This role will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.\nThis hybrid position is based in Louisville, KY or Nashville, TN and requires onsite presence approximately 1-2 times per week.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnology Leadership and Solution Delivery\nDesign, build, enhance, and support scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions in partnership with Development, Operations, Product, and Architecture teams.\nContribute to modernization, simplification, and lifecycle improvement efforts across applications, platforms, and integrations.\nLead the technical delivery of moderately complex to complex initiatives and provide input into solution design, implementation approach, and future-state improvements.\nAnalyze recurring system issues, performance bottlenecks, and operational inefficiencies, and implement sustainable improvements.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex application, connectivity, and processing issues in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.\nSupport system stability, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.\nAutomation, AI, and Engineering Productivity\nDevelop and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and increase delivery speed and quality.\nEvaluate and apply AI-enabled tools and intelligent automation where appropriate to improve engineering productivity and operational workflows.\nContribute to engineering efficiency initiatives, including:Application and API rationalizationReporting simplification and reduction of redundant dataReduction of unnecessary application and system footprint\nApply modern software engineering, integration, and DevOps practices to improve maintainability, deployment reliability, and operational effectiveness.\nSupport continuous improvement of development workflows, testing practices, and deployment automation.\nSecurity, Compliance, and Quality\nSupport technology lifecycle management activities, including patching, upgrades, decommissioning, and modernization efforts.\nWork with security partners to identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities within established timelines.\nFollow secure engineering practices, including proper secrets management, removal of hard-coded credentials, and adherence to enterprise security standards.\nBuild and maintain solutions in alignment with enterprise operational, compliance, and quality expectations.\nContribute to testing, validation, production readiness, and audit support activities as needed.\nCollaboration, Mentorship, and Technical Guidance\nCollaborate effectively with engineers, product partners, architects, operations teams, and other stakeholders to deliver business value.\nProvide technical guidance to team members on design, troubleshooting, coding practices, and engineering standards.\nMentor less experienced engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and support of best practices.\nContribute to architectural discussions and integration strategy by providing engineering input and implementation insight.\nCommunicate technical issues, risks, recommendations, and solution options clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nUse your skills to make an impact\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience\n5 or more years of software engineering or systems engineering experience\nExperience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications\nExperience developing and supporting applications using .NET frameworks and SQL databases.\nExperience working with Azure or another cloud platform in support of application development, deployment, or operations.\nExperience with application integration, batch processing, and large-scale transactional systems\nExperience with secure engineering practices and enterprise technology standards\nExperience analyzing technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field\nExperience supporting healthcare technology platforms or working in a regulated industry\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and platform full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
