As the company grows, there will be opportunities to transition into full-time roles for those who wish to deepen their involvement.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Statistical Data Scientist who combines rigorous statistical thinking, scientific curiosity, and modern analytical methods to transform complex experimental and biological data into actionable insight.\nYour focus is not model building for its own sake-it is enabling better scientific and business decisions through evidence, uncertainty quantification, and clear interpretation.\nWhat You Will Do\nCollaborate with seed engineers, breeders, biologists, and data engineers \nTranslate complex statistical results into clear, decision-ready insights\nDesign and analyse biological and experimental datasets with statistical rigor \nBuild predictive models for breeding and product development decisions \nApply machine learning where it adds meaningful value beyond classical statistics \nEnsure experimental conclusions are robust, reproducible, and well-validated \nRequirements\nWhat You Bring\n MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Genetics, Econometrics, or related field \n Strong grounding in statistical inference, experimental design, regression, and mixed models \n Experience with Python and/or R \n Familiarity with predictive modelling and modern machine learning approaches \n Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex reasoning \n Curiosity for scientific problem-solving beyond standard analytics \nWhat Success Looks Like.
