This is a senior technical role suited to an engineer who can take ownership of complex escalations, lead enterprise-level implementations and migrations, design technical solutions, and provide mentorship to junior engineering teams.\nThe successful candidate must bring extensive hands-on experience across both traditional Microsoft infrastructure and modern cloud technologies. Cloud-only experience will not be sufficient for this position.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide L3 technical support, advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across Microsoft on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments.\n\nDesign, architect and implement Microsoft enterprise infrastructure solutions.\n\nLead complex Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server deployments, upgrades and migrations.\n\nManage escalated technical incidents and ensure timely resolution of complex client issues.\n\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to L1 and L2 engineers.\n\nDrive Microsoft Modern Workplace implementations, including Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft Defender.\n\nOversee identity and access management, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity solutions.\n\nDevelop PowerShell scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency.\n\nEstablish technical standards, documentation and best-practice procedures.\n\nParticipate in client technical engagements, solution design reviews and pre-sales scoping.\n\nEnsure technical delivery aligns with Microsoft best practices, security standards and ITIL frameworks.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\n8–10 years' experience in IT infrastructure support, enterprise engineering and project deployments.\n\nMinimum 5 years' hands-on experience with on-premises Windows Server infrastructure.\n\nMinimum 5 years' hands-on experience with Microsoft 365.\n\nMinimum 5 years' hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.\n\nProven L3 experience handling complex escalations and enterprise infrastructure environments.\n\nDemonstrated experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to L1/L2 engineers.\n\nStrong client-facing implementation and technical support experience.\n\nMatric (Grade 12).\n\nITIL Foundation certification.\n\nExcellent English communication skills.\n\nMandatory Microsoft Certifications\nCandidates must hold the following certifications:\n\nAZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate.\n\nMS-102 – Microsoft 365 Administrator.\n\nMD-102 – Endpoint Administrator Associate.\n\nSC-300 – Identity and Access Administrator Associate.\n\nHighly Desirable Certifications:\n\nAZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert.\n\nSC-100 – Cybersecurity Architect Expert.\n\nAZ-700 – Azure Network Engineer Associate.\n\nMS-700 – Managing Microsoft Teams.\n\nAZ-800 / AZ-801 – Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.\n\nTechnical Expertise Required\n1. Windows Server & Enterprise Infrastructure\n\nWindows Server 2012 R2–2025.\n\nActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and DFS.\n\nNPS, Certificate Services (PKI), File Services and Failover Clustering.\n\nHyper-V and IIS.\n\nExchange Server and enterprise infrastructure administration.\n\n2. Microsoft Azure & Cloud Infrastructure\n\nAzure Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute and Network Security Groups.\n\nAzure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Storage.\n\nAzure Backup and Site Recovery.\n\nAzure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Policy and Azure Arc.\n\nAzure SQL, App Services and Key Vault.\n\n3. Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace\n\nMicrosoft 365 administration.\n\nExchange Online and Exchange Hybrid.\n\nMicrosoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.\n\nMicrosoft Intune, Autopilot and Modern Endpoint Management.\n\nMicrosoft Defender, Purview and compliance management.\n\n4. Identity, Security & Access Management\n\nMicrosoft Entra ID and Hybrid Identity.\n\nConditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection and PIM.\n\nRBAC, Zero Trust and identity governance.\n\nMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365 and Cloud Apps.\n\n5. Automation & Scripting\n\nAdvanced PowerShell scripting.\n\nMicrosoft Graph PowerShell.\n\nAzure Automation and Logic Apps.\n\nREST API integrations and workflow automation.\n\nAdvantageous Experience\n\nPrevious experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.\n\nRMM solutions and Freshservice or similar ITSM platforms.\n\nBackup and recovery solutions such as Veeam and
