Our award-winning office products - seating, sit/stand desks, technology support and lighting - have led the industry in performance and simplicity for over 40 years.\nThis role will operate under Advanced Die Casting, LLC as a whole-owned subsidiary of Humanscale.\nOverview\nThe Die Casting Supervisor oversees daily production plan execution, scrap control, and manufacturing standards to ensure performance meets production release targets. This role leads the work team, enforces quality and safety procedures, manages training and development, and drives continuous improvement and 5S workplace organization. Additionally, the supervisor analyzes performance data, resolves interpersonal conflicts, audits standard work, and reports equipment and production results to management. This position will oversee the work in the area.\nResponsibilities\nMonitor execution of the production plan to ensure daily goals are met.\nControl and reduce plant scrap through effective monitoring and corrective action.\nEnsure daily production meets established standards and processes are properly implemented and maintained.\nLead and supervise production team members to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and quality requirements.\nProvide ongoing training and coaching to develop team members’ technical and safety skills.\nAddress team conflicts and performance concerns in accordance with internal work regulations (RIT).\nPromote a productive work environment that supports team engagement and departmental goals.\nMake data-driven production decisions aligned with operational and company objectives.\nCommunicate work instructions, procedures, and responsibilities clearly to production staff.\nCommunicate daily updates on quality, safety, productivity, equipment, and continuous improvement activities.\nPrepare and present concise reports on equipment and production performance for management and cross-functional teams.\nEnsure employees are trained, qualified, and competent to perform assigned responsibilities.\nImplement and sustain 5S standards to maintain an organized and efficient work area.\nParticipate in and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.\nAudit area leaders’ standard work to ensure consistent application of processes and procedures.\nMonitor production processes to identify and address issues before they impact output.\nConduct root cause analysis using problem-solving tools such as Ishikawa diagrams and 5 Whys.\nParticipate in Kaizen events to support process improvement.\nEnsure operations comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nOversee waste management and disposal procedures for the die casting process.\nPromote a safety-focused culture by encouraging incident reporting and recognizing safe work practices.\nQualifications\nIndustrial Engineering or related degree and/or experience.\nMust have at least 3 years minimum experience in die casting processes or as a manufacturing engineer, knowledge of inspection procedures and quality control.\nPreferred skills:\nLean manufacturing\nISO 9001\nSix Sigma\nOSHA\nAQS\nISO 14001\nPrevious supervisory experience preferred.\nAnalytical capability. \nAble to adapt to change.\nAbility to manage human and material resources efficiently. \nSix Sigma Certification: Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt.\nBasic knowledge of maintenance.\nBilingual (Spanish/English) required.\nAbility to prioritize and stay organized.\nCapable of balancing team and individual responsibilities; able to foster a strong team environment. \nDrives strategic alignment across departments to achieve business goals.\nCustomer focused; adept at managing difficult situations; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build credibility within an organization and with customers. \nStrong problem-solving skills including root cause identification and continuous improvement. \nPossesses/develops knowledge regarding products, procedures, and policies.
