They will also drive continuous improvement for product and process performance.\nResponsibilities\nCustomer Focus and Continuous Improvement\nDirectly responsible for ensuring all quality standards for products are met prior to shipment to customer\nInvestigates, conducts tests or experiments, gathers data, and performs preliminary analysis for product performance issues. \nConducts root cause investigation and is responsible for driving the implementation of corrective action and preventive measures\nDirectly responsible for customer complaint reduction to assigned Humanscale Product line\nInitiates, leads and participates in continuous improvement projects\nOperationsWorks with experienced QEs to disposition non-conforming material\nOversees efforts and works with production, inventory control and inspection teams to quarantine/segregate parts when nonconformance is identified\nDirects workers engaged in measuring, testing products and tabulating data concerning test set up and procedure to follow\nWhen sort/rework of nonconforming material is required, provides technical support as required\nParticipates in Lean activities including Kaizen events and 6S audits\n\nQuality SystemsDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering fields\nDevises sampling procedures and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data\n\nContributes to the compilation/updating of training material, SOP’s, and QC Criteria as required\nQualifications\nB.S. degree or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline\n0-2 years of experience in Quality Engineering (in an ISO certified manufacturing environment preferred)\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings\nSolid communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams\nExcellent interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful closure. \nAbility to demonstrate accuracy and strong attention to detail\nAbility to work well in a team environment\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nSitting 70% - Walking/Standing 30%\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs\nLong periods of close work on computer screen\nInterpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously\nClimate controlled office space\nOnsite 5 days a week\nUse of hands to operate tools, install, adjust and attach parts\nUnderstanding and working with machines & mechanical systems\nKnowledge and ability to use computers & related technology efficiently\nThe worker is required to have visual acuity, which is essential for tasks that require attention to detail, such as operating machinery or performing quality control\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary\nMedical Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)\nHSA, FSA, Commuter Benefits\nMedical Discounts\nAncillary Benefits\nAccident, Critical Illness, Hospital Insurance\nVoluntary, Spouse, and Child Life Insurance\nPet Insurance\nEmployee Discount Programs\n401k matching\nPaid time off (including 15 PTO days and 11 holidays)\nHumanscale is an Equal Opportunity Employer (Disabled/Veteran)\nSalary Range: $68,032-$99,232\nPlease note that the salary information is a general guideline.
