We don’t believe culture can be engineered - but when it falls into place, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.\nProgress has never felt so present.\nPosition Overview\nOwn the design of new electronic hardware for autonomous automotive platforms end-to-end-from concept and architecture through schematic, layout, fabrication, and release to manufacturing.\nKey Responsibilities\nBring up new and existing PCBs: power-on, basic validation, programming, and root-causing board-level issues.\nIntegrate sensors, compute, and actuators on the bench and final platform; exercise UART, SPI, I²C, USB, CAN, etc.\nScout, buy, and stand up EVKs/dev kits; build simple test setups and report data to inform hardware choices.\nUse Altium for schematic capture, layout review, and full board designs from concept to release.\nPlan and run lab tests with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, supplies, and loads; document bring-up steps, test results, and known issues.\nWork closely with Mechanical, Firmware and Systems engineers to debug system-level issues that trace back to electronics.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.\nAll experience levels. Internships and student team projects (for example Formula SAE) count.\nHands-on experience bringing up custom PCBs or complex dev boards.\nProficiency with Altium Designer (schematic, layout, and outputs: BOM, Gerbers, assembly files).\nWorking knowledge of common peripherals and components: microcontrollers/SoCs, power regulators, basic analog, level shifting.\nPractical experience with UART, SPI, I²C, and at least one of USB or CAN.\nComfortable with lab equipment (scope, logic analyzer, DMM, supplies) and reading datasheets/app notes.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience integrating sensors and compute for robotics or autonomy (e.g., cameras, radar, lidar, IMUs, GNSS).\nBasic embedded firmware skills (C/C++) for board bring-up and hardware testing.\nExperience at an AV, autonomous trucking, or automotive program at an OEM or Tier 1.\nReleased a board to manufacturing, including DFM review and production test.\nAutomotive-grade design: AEC-Q components, derating, transient and ESD protection.\nAutomotive LV power distribution, harness design, or EMC testing.\nCompensation\nSalary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
