Own system-level requirements and architecture, and make the technical decisions that cross compute, networking, sensors, telematics, and power distribution. Translate product and safety goals into clear, testable requirements, and drive the design reviews and validation that prove them out end-to-end. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you set the direction and stay in the details.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn systems engineering across the product.\nArchitect the vehicle subsystems while evaluating cross-domain trade-offs.\nDecompose vehicle-level requirements down to subsystem and component level across compute, networking, sensors, telematics, power distribution, and articulate the rationale behind each.\nPartner with Mechanical Engineers to align on mechanical requirements - durability, vehicle dynamics, enclosures, sealing, etc.\nSupport system performance analysis, deviation analysis, structured testing, debugging, and system improvements.\nRun cross-functional design reviews and orchestrate verification and validation of requirements with HW, SW/Autonomy, Functional Safety, and Test teams.\nPartner with Functional Safety on HARA, safety goals, and ASIL-driven technical safety requirement decomposition; ensure traceability from item definition to test.\nInterface with SW/Autonomy on interfaces, timing, compute, and networking budgets; own the system-of-systems view and arbitrate trade-offs across domains.\nLead root-cause analysis for cross-domain issues surfaced in bring-up, DV, or on-vehicle; feed learnings back into requirements and architecture.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Computer Engineering\n8+ years of systems engineering on vehicles or robots.\nOwned vehicle-level E/E architecture (power distribution, in-vehicle networks, compute) on a program that reached DV, PV, SOP or fleet deployment.\nTechnical lead for systems engineers who built to your requirements and decisions.\nWrote testable requirements and ran requirement-based V&V across HW, SW and test teams.\nDid practical ISO 26262 work: HARA, safety goals, ASIL decomposition.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience at an AV, robotaxi, autonomous trucking, or ADAS program at OEM/Tier-1.\nBuilt or grew a systems engineering team at an early-stage company.\nTrack record of selecting, deploying, or replacing requirements management tooling.\nExposure to HIL/SIL strategy and the instrumentation needed for on-vehicle verification.\nExperience working directly with powertrain, chassis, and/or HV traction systems on production vehicles.\nHeavy-duty truck or articulated vehicle experience.\nCompensation\nSalary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
