Your primary focus will be on software that runs on the vehicle, and you'll contribute across the stack-from sensors and inference to developer tooling and fleet-facing systems-working closely with teammates across robotics, ML, and controls. We also value engineers who are excited to jump into adjacent parts of the stack as needed, from firmware-facing integrations and developer tooling to cloud services and internal applications. This is a chance to support a production autonomy stack from day one, shipping code that runs on real trucks hauling real freight.\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of software across the autonomy stack, with an emphasis on real-time systems running on the vehicle\nHelp build and improve on-vehicle data logging and recording systems\nContribute to the hermetic build and cross-compilation pipeline, including packaging and deployment for on-vehicle compute platforms and adjacent system components\nInstrument, profile, and improve system performance end-to-end-from IPC latency to compute throughput to disk I/O\nWrite tests and support CI improvements to ensure system reliability\nContribute to integrations across on-vehicle, cloud, and fleet-facing systems-remote data pipelines, over-the-air updates, and connectivity\nJump into adjacent engineering work as needed, from firmware-facing integrations and developer tooling to cloud services and internal web applications\nCollaborate with ML and controls engineers to integrate their work into the real-time on-vehicle stack\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field-or equivalent industry experience\nStrong proficiency in Rust or C++ with experience shipping low-latency, concurrent software on Linux\nFamiliarity with real-time scheduling, inter-process communication, synchronization primitives, and debugging latency-sensitive concurrent systems\nExperience contributing to Linux systems software, hardware-adjacent infrastructure, sensor / compute platform bring-up, or similarly close-to-hardware systems\nEligible to work in the United States\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience contributing to software for autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, or other safety-critical systems\nHands-on work with sensor integration\nExperience with GPU-accelerated compute or productionizing AI models (quantization, optimization, deployment)\nExperience with low-latency IPC, shared-memory transport, or high-throughput pub-sub systems\nFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, networking, or vehicle-to-cloud data pipelines\nExperience with Bazel or other hermetic build systems\nExperience with cross-compilation, packaging, or deployment for Linux-based systems\nComfort working as a software generalist across systems boundaries, from on-vehicle software to cloud services and internal tools\nComfort working on a small team with high ownership, low ego, and fast iteration\nCompensation\nThis role is eligible for base salary + benefits + equity compensation. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
