We bring together planning, infrastructure, placemaking and partnerships to help deliver projects that improve the lives of our residents now and into the future.\nThe Integrated Projects Coordinator leads the planning, coordination and delivery readiness of Hume City Council's major precincts, strategic places and capital projects.\nReporting to the Manager Strategic Projects and Places, this role is responsible for ensuring Council's projects, infrastructure investments and strategic initiatives contribute to well-planned, connected and high-quality places. The position provides leadership across precinct planning, project development and placemaking, helping guide projects from strategic planning through to delivery.\nWorking across Council and with external stakeholders, the Coordinator will oversee integrated planning processes, manage project interdependencies and support consistent, place-based outcomes across Hume's growth areas, activity centres and strategic precincts.\nThis role also provides leadership of Hume's Places Program and manages a multidisciplinary team focused on planning, urban design, placemaking and project development.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nLead integrated planning and coordination across Council's major precincts, strategic projects and place-based initiatives.\nOversee the development of master plans, place frameworks and project pipelines that support Council's long-term strategic objectives.\nCoordinate project definition and delivery readiness activities for strategic capital projects and precinct initiatives.\nEnsure project sequencing, interdependencies and cumulative impacts are considered in planning and decision making.\nProvide leadership and oversight of Hume's Places Program and place-based planning approach.\nChampion high-quality urban design, public realm and placemaking outcomes across Council projects.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, developers, consultants and community representatives.\nIdentify and manage risks, issues and opportunities across the integrated projects portfolio.\nProvide strategic advice, reports and briefings to senior leadership, Councillors and external partners.\nThe skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:\nHigh -level professional judgement in balancing place outcomes, delivery constraints and organisational priorities.\nDemonstrated experience in place-based planning, precinct development, urban renewal or major project delivery, including developing strategic plans and master plans.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.\nProven ability to adapt to fast paced changing environment.\nExperience leading complex projects, managing multiple stakeholders and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.\nStrong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.\nRequired Certifications & Qualifications \nRelevant tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Project Management, Public Policy or a related discipline.\nCurrent Driver Licence.\nWhy Hume City Council?\nA leader in local government, we’re committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative work environment that is guided by our values:\nWe’re better, every day: We give things a go and value progress over perfection.
